ABOUT US
In Fall 2012, Colorado Springs Early Colleges (CSEC) will launch a satellite school in Douglas County. CSEC is a tuition-free public charter high school that is open to any student in Colorado. College ready high school students in the Douglas County area who are enrolled in this school will have the opportunity to complete college courses completely free while still in high school. To be considered college-ready, a student must place at the college level in either english or math on the Accuplacer test given by the community college the student wishes to attend. After they have taken the test, the student must meet with their assigned Academic Advisor on the CSEC campus in Colorado Springs to discuss college and career goals. The advisor will help the student develop a plan to achieve their goals and assist the student in choosing college courses. Students in the Douglas County Early College program may attend many community colleges including Arapahoe Community College (ACC), Community College of Aurora, and Red Rocks Community College.
